About Us

Hello Gardening Friends!

Welcome to another exciting and rewarding year of gardening. When winter has us in its grasp and our gardens are at rest, what a joyous activity it is to dream of the spring and plan for our summer gardens. This is one of the main reasons we’ve had so much fun putting this catalogue of gardening delights together for you!

2013 is going to be an awesome gardening year...we can feel it our bones and in anticipation of all that has yet to bloom we’ve spent many hours scouring the gardening world to find just the right plants for your own oasis. With over 100 new varieties to choose from , the difficulty will lay in the choosing, but admittedly that’s half the fun, isn’t it?

Almost every category of plants in our Spring 2013 catalogue has something new to offer and we’ve even added a brand new selection of Shrubs! Filled with tried and true standards such as Viburnum Sterile (Snowball Bush) and Hydrangeas, we’ve also got some beautiful Lilac and Elderberry bushes to add spice to your garden.

Speaking of juicy, we managed to get our hands on one of the hottest new sensations in the world of berries - our Haskap Mix is sure to be a winner this year. Super hardy to zone 2 and brimming with nutrients and one of the highest anti-oxidant levels of any berry, Haskaps are hot this season.

If you’re a rose aficionado then we’ve got something just for you. Along with our beautiful selection of bare root, Grade #1 roses, Botanus is offering two Canada-Exclusive David Austin varieties this season: Fighting Temeraire and Queen Anne! That’s right - you can’t get either of these two gorgeous varieties anywhere else but from us and we’ve got limited quantities so be sure to reserve your special rose today.

At Botanus we love to surprise you and we’ve got a big secret that will be revealed in the New Year...the best way to find out about it is to sign up! Request our e-newsletter or ‘like’ us on Facebook. Either way you’ll be one of the first to know what the big secret is and, believe us, you’ll want to know!

And finally, we would like to encourage you to embrace our motto of Care~Inspire~Grow and pass on your love of gardening to the younger generation. When shown how much fun it is and how rewarding it can be, children naturally fall in love with gardening. Imagine if every child is given this opportunity what a wonderful world it would be.

“Teach a child to garden and they will grow for life.”

Happy Gardening Everyone! Elke, Pam & Wendy
