A favourite among florists because of its long vase-life, Brunello is also well known for its vivid, almost neon orange colour and elegant, cup-shaped flowers.
Do you love Lilies but find their fragrance somewhat overpowering? If so, we'd like to suggest our Asiatic Lily Brunello. Although not fragrant, this tangerine orange-coloured hybrid features abundant, bowl-shaped flowers. Since Asiatic Lilies can grow to a height of 3 ft - 90 cm and dislike dry, hot situations, we suggest planting them in sun or partial shade protected from strong winds.
Plant them in a rather heavy soil with an ample supply of humus and good drainage. Remove faded flowers and do not cut back stems until autumn. Colonies of bulbs can be left undisturbed for years but should be lifted and separated when they become overcrowded.
