Michaelmas Daisies are known for their long flowering season. Bees and butterflies will flock to this flowering plant which has masses of semi-double, crimson flowers with golden centres.
Extend your garden's flowering season by adding this pretty Michaelmas Daisy to brighten up a mixed or herbaceous border after other perennials have come and gone. It will also flourish in dappled shade. Asters can get to be 3-5', 1-1.5m tall but pinching can help maintain a more compact plant. Pinch the plants once or twice in the spring and in early summer to keep them compact.
