Dianthus gratianopolitanus 'Tiny Rubies'

Dianthus gratianopolitanus 'Tiny Rubies'

Commonly known as Cheddar Pink, there's nothing cheesy about this little cutie.

This dianthus is native to the Cheddar Gorge in southwest England, hence the common name of cheddar pink. 'Tiny Rubies' Dianthus is a close cousin of the carnation flower and they pack a powerful fragrance punch that is a fusion of cloves and other exotic spices. Drought tolerant once established. Clip them lightly after blooming for more blooms and a tidier plant. Makes a terrific rock garden plant, perfect for border fronts, cottage gardens or containers. It also makes an effective small area ground cover and edger. Perennially perfect!
