It’s been quite the spring season now hasn’t it? With one nasty weather front after another pelting us all with snow and rain we’re glad to say that spring has now finally, finally arrived! Woo hoo!
Despite the inclement winter and early spring weather, we’re always delighted and amazed to see the fruits of our fall plantings coming into fruition. Tulips and Daffodils and spring bloomers of all sorts can be seen popping their heads up through the soil and with them comes the sense of renewal and fresh life that each new gardening season brings.
Here at Botanus, we too have gone through many changes this past season: some joyous - like the awesome response we had to our spring collection of bulbs and plants. Some sad - like the passing of Wendy’s wonderful mom, Joyce Perret, whom we will all miss terribly. Joyce was an avid gardener and a huge inspiration to us all and we will never forget the fun times shared with her privately as well as the Communities in Bloom Garden Tour we attended with her last year. Yet despite this very sad episode in our lives we know that we can always take comfort in our gardening activities knowing that we reap what we sow and life will continue on in all its wondrous glory!
With that in mind, this year’s Fall 2008 selection is intended to inspire you to create a garden filled with love and affection.
