Details

Stunning foliage, vibrant yellow flowers and the odour is a repellent to deer, squirrels and rabbits. Fritillaria require rich, well-drained soil in a sunny location to thrive.

These plants also sport a leafy crown of bright green foliage and will definitely turn a few heads in the garden. One of the first plants to be cultivated, illustrations of it date back as far as 1610! A word of caution, however, these amazing plants do give off a strong musky odour so we suggest planting them in a perennial border or near shrubs where the scent will not be objectionable. Be sure to provide good drainage as Fritillarias are somewhat sensitive to water retentive soil.
