Spring is springing at Botanus!

This week in the Botanus Garden Club we're showing off our new studio set and talking about some of our Faves for Spring 2015.

Join Pam & Elke as they have fun revealing Pam's Perennial Faves for this coming season. She's picked some real 'sweeties' this time around and chosen ones that are especially easy to grow and extend the flowering season well into the fall. Let's get things rolling with...

Congratulations to this week's winners. Each will be receiving the 'Fave' of their choice:

Kathy G. from Port Colborne ON

My favourite flower that Pam talked about was the Novi-Belgi Crimson Brocade aster. I love the colour and I want to try and make my gardens more bee friendly this year. The colour theme I'm looking at is red, yellow and orange.  I love watching your videos!

Donna L. from Toronto ON

Pam's fave Aster novi-belgii "Crimson Brocade" is my fave because of the bright colour and ease of growing.

Mary J. from North Vancouver BC

I just enjoyed watching the latest garden club video. It is so hard to decide on a favourite plant because they are all great plants. However since I have to choose one, it would have to be Anemone Tomentosa ‘Robustissima’. It is a beautiful anemone, hardy and blooms at a time when the garden can use a lift. It enhances other plants around it as well.

Beryl W. from Nanton AB

Greetings! This lily is one of my favourites because it reminds me of old farmstead gardens in both Ontario and the Maritimes where I have my roots. I love the shape of the blossoms and watching them open up along the entire length of the stem. Fabulous!
