Clairette will bloom in very early spring along with your Snowdrops and Chionodoxa. Its striking purple petals have gold crests and white streaks that grow on naked stems. Perfection for containers and rock gardens.
Belonging to the Reticulata group of irises, 'Clairette' is characterized by its short stature, large flower in relationship to the plant as a whole and very early flowering. They are very hardy little plants. Mix them in amongst other traditional early bloomers such as crocus, winter aconites and snowdrops.
