About Us

Hello Gardening Friends!

We’re truly blessed to be in the gardening business because it not only gives us the opportunity to help beautify our world but also to come in contact with some of the most amazing people who share our common interests.

And so we welcome you, our  fellow gardeners, to another wonderful year of digging in the soil and cultivating your beautiful outdoor spaces. Even though you may be viewing our new Spring 2012 catalogue in the dead of winter, when your garden is asleep under a blanket of snow, we guarantee it will warm up your appetite for all things ‘spring’.

As we poured over the astounding selection of plant material available to us and carefully chose our selection for this season it soon became apparent that there was a real tropical theme appearing before our eyes. Not only are some of the plants aptly named: Hawaii Dahlia, Tropical Salmon Canna, Dianthus ‘Coconut Punch’ and Hemerocallis ‘Jamaican Me Crazy’ to name a few, but many have tropical fragrances such as Eucomis Leia which smells like sweet coconut! So plant a bit of sunshine this spring and enjoy the hot colours and scents of the tropics.

Creating an inviting outdoor environment is what it’s all about and whether you choose to ‘go tropical’ or simply add spots of colour and fragrance to your outdoor space, our Spring 2012 selection has something for every gardener and every garden. Sun, shade and everything in between.

If you’ve been with us for a few years you’ll be pleased to see that we’ve included over 100 new items in our already amazing selection of summer-flowering bulbs, perennials and roses! The new varieties cover the spectrum of plant choices including brand new Novelty Dahlias, outstanding David Austin and Weeks Roses as well as exciting new Bare Root Perennial plants, Grasses and Ferns.

And speaking of new we have another goodie up our sleeve - or rather in our toolbox - to share with you namely two brand new Löwe pruners: Anvil & Curved Blade. These quality German-made tools are the market leaders in anvil-style pruners. We’ve tested them and they cut ‘like butter’ and we know that you will be hooked with the first cut you make. A pair of these precision pruners should definitely be on your shopping list this season!

So let the spring dreaming begin and remember, if you have any questions, we’d love to hear from you. As always we are especially thankful for all of our gardening friends across Canada who continue to inspire us. Marcel Proust said it best:

“Let us be grateful to people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.”
