Often called the ‘Nodding Star of Bethlehem’, this bulb grows easily and naturalizes gently in almost all soils. It is sweetly fragrant and makes an excellent cut flower.
A florist's favourite because it lasts so long as a cut flower, Ornithogalum nutans also makes an excellent naturalizer in the garden. Having been around for a very long time (1594) this heirloom bulb is the perfect choice for the perennial border. It is generally a pretty tough plant that is very accommodating when it comes to soil conditions especially in drier, lighter soils.
