'Limelight' has enormous, showy, conical shaped blooms that morph from lime green to white during the season. Fabulous as cut flowers or left on the stem to draw light and attention into your garden. Stunning!

The flowers emerge creamy white, mature to chartreuse-lime and eventually acquire pink-darkening-to-rose tones before finally fading to beige. PH does not affect the bloom colour. Hydrangea paniculata are colourful and cold hardy, mid to large size plants. 'Limelight' provides a plethora of flower panicles in early summer that continue to bloom on through autumn. It adapts easily to all kinds of conditions and because of its changing colour is considered to be a breakthrough in breeding.

The distinctively large pyramidal shapes of the flower clusters make it a particularly interesting cut flower and it holds its colour well: can even be used for dried flower arrangements. This is one of the most winter hardy of the hydrangeas and it thrives in urban conditions. 'Limelight'  benefits from mulch around the root zone in winter. Bloom occurs on current season’s growth, so prune as needed in late winter to early spring. In a great location can live 40 years or more.
