Some Things You Should Know
For your utmost enjoyment we will supply you with top quality and in most case top size flower bulbs and plants. All the items in our catalogue have been inspected for quality and supplied by the best growers in the business. Be sure to read the planting guide that we enclose with every order, we’ve spent loads of time gathering the information and it really will help your plants perform better. Bulbs and plants definitely respond better when they are put in the ground right away, remember they are living things and need the natural elements to survive and thrive. We love to ship our products all across Canada - it’s what we do best! We will ship non plant material to anywhere in the world, for a fee of course.

Our products are top quality and in great condition at the time of shipping. If this is not the case when they arrive at your door, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can take care of you with a replacement or credit. Please do not throw away any plant items until we’ve had a chance to talk with you, it’s ever so helpful if we can figure out what happened with the product. Let’s be honest, things can happen that are totally unexpected when you’re dealing with live plant products, but our promise to you is that we will treat every case on an individual basis and do our very best to make your Botanus experience a great one.

Every plant order will receive the fabulous FREE Gift of 10 Peacock Orchids (Acidanthera). Orders are processed and reserved for you on the day we receive them so don’t delay, remember we won’t ship until it’s the right time for you to plant. Is There a Minimum Order?
We’re so glad you asked! The minimum we’d like you to spend with us is $10.00 (before shipping and tax).
Sales Tax
BC Residents please add 5% GST & 7% PST - Rest of Canada please add 5% GST.
Payment Methods
We process payment on the day of ordering which will ensure your plants and bulbs are reserved for you. We accept personal & company cheques, money orders, Visa, MasterCard & American Express. Please make your cheques payable to Botanus Inc. dated the day of ordering. Any post dated cheques we receive will be held safely and your plants will be reserved for you on the date you’ve indicated on the cheque. There is a processing fee for NSF cheques and please do not mail cash.
Substitutions
If something happens that we can not foresee or control and the product you’ve chosen is not available, we will do our best to substitute something of equal or greater value that you will enjoy. If you would prefer that we not make that choice for you just indicate on the Order Form ‘No Subs’ and we will gladly offer you a credit or a refund.
Shipment Dates
Our shipping season begins in early April (approximately) and carries on through May. We ship according to your climate zone which means we will send it to you when it’s time for you to plant. The Instant Spring Gardens are the exception this season as we will ship them around mid March. We will always do our best to get your order out to you in a timely manner, but remember there are some things even we cannot prevent but rest assured you are our most important consideration!
Shipping Information
With the exception of the Instant Spring Gardens, which are shipped separately, all orders are shipped complete. You can ask us to do otherwise, in which case additional shipping and handling fees may apply. We ship via Expedited Parcel Post. Express delivery is also available and if you are interested in this please contact us for pricing information. Order pick up is not available.
Canada Post Safe Drop
All packages will be clearly marked ‘Do Not Safe Drop’ unless you request otherwise. Canada Post can also ‘Safe Drop’ packages to street addresses where no one is home to receive them, and where the neighbourhood is deemed ‘safe’ by the delivery driver. If you would like to have your package ‘Safe Dropped’ at your front door (other locations are not possible i.e. back door, behind the Garden Gnome next to the oak tree), please indicate this on your order form. Any orders where safe drop is requested will be the customer’s responsibility. Please note that orders over $200.00 can not be safe dropped because we’re going to need a signature upon delivery. That way we’ll be extra sure that you received your great big package of plants!

Referral Program
In order to qualify for the very special Referral Gift of a Botanus $20.00 Gift Certificate there are a couple of important things you should know. Please send us a copy of the Referral Form (available in our catalogues and on our web site) or give us a call to let us know who you’d like to refer. The gardening friends you provide as referrals should not already be one of our customers or someone who already receives our catalogues. We will then send them our catalogues. If they decide to place an order with us we’ll have a look at the total and if it’s $65.00 before shipping and taxes you’re on your way to receiving that terrific $20.00 Gift Certificate. Please note that the referred individual must be the one placing the order with us, the order must be shipped to their address and they must be the one paying for the entire order. Gift Orders do not qualify. Also, to be fair to everyone, referred individuals cannot reside at the same address as you and there is a limit of one referred individual per household.
