All Alliums ARE Awesome! Each fall I look forward to planting more Alliums and then late in the spring I wait impatiently for them to bloom. They come later in the season, which I love, and once they are done blooming the seed heads are almost as interesting as the 'awesome' flower heads.
Awesome Allium Collection includes:
12 Allium bulgaricum
The more, of this upside-down umbrella flower, the merrier. Bees are drawn to them like magnets and I like to plant them in groupings of 3 in strategic areas in the garden so the bees can find them easily.
12 Allium azureum
This truly is the loveliest shade of azure blue you have ever seen. They sparkle and shine in the spring garden and as usual the bees love them.
12 Allium 'Hair'
I love these in my garden because they are wild and crazy looking. They are so much fun above the summer flowers, waving in the breeze. Wherever they grow, a crowd follows.
30 Allium sphaerocephalon
These are sweet and prolific and when planted in little bunches can cause the bees to go crazy. They love these little drumstick Allium and will find them wherever they grow. Small but mighty!
8 Allium 'Rosy Dream'
Each flower head is made up of hundreds of tiny, bright, rosy pink florets. These tiny flowers are all squeezed in together to create the most fabulous pink bubbles! They attract plenty of beneficial pollinators, but not the deer. Like all Allium, they are deer resistant!
