Emerald refers to the emerald-green foliage but the mauve colour of the beautiful bell-shaped blooms are a standout in the garden. This beauty blooms all summer long!
Campanula glomerata, commonly known as clustered bellflower, is an upright perennial that is native to Europe and Asia. The genus name comes from the Latin 'campana' meaning bell in reference to the bell-shaped flowers and 'glomeratus' meaning clustered in reference to the densely packed flowers - up to 15 per flowerhead! Promptly remove spent flower stems to encourage additional bloom. Divide clumps in fall every 3-5 years to maintain vigor and control spread.
