Raspberry 'Honey Queen' is one of Elke's Faves this season...this is what she has to say:
The name alone made me look more closely at this plant. Honey-sweet flavour, a nice medium size fruit and its long bearing time from mid-summer to fall are only the beginnings of this great fruit. Can’t wait to pick and eat my way through my garden this summer.
Move over red raspberries, here comes the honey coloured Queen!
Living up to her name, Honey Queen is not only golden yellow in colour but her taste is sweet, like honey. This Floricane variety bears fruit on its prior year's growth. The delicious yellow berries appear in summer. 'Honey Queen' was developed in Alberta and is very winter hardy. Remember that your berries like lots of water, especially at harvest time so the more you water the better the berries and your crop yield will be!
