Ismene 'Sulphur Queen' is one of Pam's Faves this season...this is what she has to say:
If you think this orchid-looking flower is hard to grow, think again. Give her a sunny spot and good drainage and she’ll reward you this summer with exotic-looking blooms and a delicious scent. I like them in containers and I plant extra for bouquets.
Lovely, fragrant yellowy-green flowers that are perfect for containers in warm and sunny locations. Wow factor is huge with this flower!
Ismene 'Sulphur Queen' is such a unique looking flower, you simply must try it! This beautiful specimen produces intricately designed, soft yellow flowers that are pleasantly fragrant. Commonly known as the Peruvian Daffodil or Spider Lily, the flowers have a long cup with projecting stamens. The fact that there are no leaves on the stem and they are wonderfully fragrant makes them ideal for cut flower bouquets. Ismene is suited to growing outside in a sunny spot, but most often used in pots and containers.
