Sanguisorba obtusa is one of Wendy's Faves this season...this is what she has to say:
I love the fluffy reddish-pink flowers that bloom through the summer and look like little bottle brushes. Unusual and beautiful, especially when they are swaying in the breeze. Perennials get bigger and more flowerful each year and that’s another reason why we love them!
Bottle Brush is so much fun to grow and the fluffy pink flowers are simply adorable. It prefers a moist, well-draining spot in the garden.
Perfect for the cottage or informal garden. It can also be used for underplanting of roses and shrubs. Sanguisorba obtusa is generally pest and disease free and can be cut back in winter.
